Tesco Express have have reversed a decision to close the toilet in their store in Henleaze Road and it has now been re-opened.
The firm confirmed the re-opening in a letter to local MP Charlotte Leslie who had written to them about the closure.
Their Head of Government Affairs, Victoria McKenzie-Gould said “the toilets were closed whilst small internal alterations
to the store were being considered”.
There had been complaints at the closure including one from Roy Mathias, vice chairman of the Henleaze Society. He said:
“The Henleaze Society have always supported calls for a toilet in Tesco Express being available to members of the
public”. I am delighted it has now been re-opened”.
Local Councillor Glenise Morgan also supported the calls for
the Tesco toilet to be re-opened. The toilet is at the back of the store but there is no sign telling people
where it is.
