The Henleaze Anti-Graffiti Group and the City Council are continuing
their campaign this Spring to clear up new outbreaks of graffiti in
the community with a policy of “zero tolerance”.
Householders can contact the Anti-Graffiti Group but are also
encouraged to report incidents direct to the council which actively
support the anti-graffiti action. “We will always act on information
we get from householders but it`s important for them to know they can
also contact the council direct” says Liz. (9222100 or

Co-ordinator Liz Kew says: “Experience has shown
that if
graffiti is removed quickly it deters the offenders”. The council and
volunteers need an indemnity form signed by the householder before
they can act.
The support from the council includes using pressure
hoses to clear the worst cases and providing a grant to buy paint and
anti-graffiti spray for volunteers to use. Key projects for the Group
this Spring will be back lanes in Westbury Park and The Crescent end
of the lane to Golden Hill.
New volunteers are welcome.
